With a big final weekend of fixtures, the Uni boys did themselves proud.

Div 1 - Captain Mothman was sent out in victorious fashion as the boys beat Top 5 team Saints. The 3-1 victory was highlighted by some excellent team play and hopefully showed a sign of things to come in 2011, with the boys finishing the last three games of the season with 3 wins and an aggregate score of 15-2. Unfortunately, Div 1 just managed to miss the finals as Commercial unexpectedly (!!) lost their first game of the season to fellow mid-table team Labrador. The boys rued earlier season losses but it was nonetheless a fantastic way to send out the retiring club captain Mothy.  

Div 2 - The boys showed a return to earlier season form with a crisp 4-1 win. With Redcliffe losing across town, this meant the boys finished the season as Minor Premiers, a great result for a team on the rise in a tough comp.

Div 3.1 - Needing a win to secure the Minor Premiership, the Div3.1 boys came out with excellent intensity and were duly rewarded with a comprehensive victory. Good performances across the park meant the boys were able to wrap up the Minor Premiership for 2010 and the only concern was they didn't turn their dominance into more goals.

Div 3.2 - Needing to beat Commercial to sneak into the Top 5, the 3.2s tried valiantly but unfortunately it didn't click on the day. Several close chances went begging and the loss of key personnel and some sloppy play meant they were playing catch-up hockey. A late goal drew the match but it unfortunatley it wasn't enough to go through, with the 3.2s left with a hollow feeling in a season that was certainly full of 'what-ifs'.

Div 5 - The last few weekends have seen Div 5 wrap up 4th spot in a congested ladder and secure finals action for the first time in a number of years. It culminated in a crisp 5-0 beating of Bulimba in the last weekend of Div 5 fixtures to see them go into a knock-out semi against South West. Credit must go to Wombat and all the boys who have showed a lot of improvement in 2010 and will be looking to progress deep into the finals.
