Following on from the success of a number of our 'younger' players in the representative arena, a number of the more mature club members also got a chance to shine at the O35s, O40s and O50s State Titles in Ipswich over the May long Weekend.

Congratulations to - 

• TG (Brett White), Ghost (Steve Walker), Macguyver (Chris Fenton), Hux (Paul Huxley) and Jacko who won the State O40s playing for Townsville
• Phil Guy who won the State O50s playing for Brisbane (Goal scorer in final)
• Jamie Beattie and Nick the Pig who were selected in the Qld O40s (1) side to play in the nationals later in the year
• Wombat (Bill Tomkins) who has been appointed Coach of the Qld O35s side to play in the nationals 

Honourable mentions also to Matt Stockwell who turned out for Brisbane 1 in the O40s, Bauldrick who played for Brisbane in the O35s, Commish (Dave Kerslake) who played for Cairns in the O50s and Phil Hack who officiated throughout with aplomb.

As well as this, the State O45s and O55s title were held at Bundaberg over the June long weekend and once again a number of RedVets enjoyed success. Congratulations to -

• Chris Fenton, who has been selected in the Qld O45 #1 Team
• David Kerslake, who has been selected in the Qld O55s Team
• Bruce McBryde, who has been selected in the Qld O70s Team
• The Townsville boys - Chris Fenton, Steve Walker, the Huxley Brothers and TG who won the Div 2 State O45s title
